Theos Higher Ground Academe

Theos Higher Ground Academe traces its beginnings to 1997, when it was first established as Theos Mass Tutorial, a small ministry-driven initiative that offered free preschool education to children in the community. Founded by Rev. Teofilo T. Rendal Jr. and his wife, Mrs. Josephine Rendal, the school was rooted in Christian values and a vision to nurture both the academic and spiritual growth of young learners. What began as a simple act of service—teaching children they encountered on the streets—soon grew into a formal institution as the founders sought official recognition and permits to operate as a school. The name “Theos,” derived from the Greek word for God, reflects the school’s mission to integrate faith, leadership, and education in shaping the lives of its students. Over the years, the institution expanded from its humble tutorial beginnings into a full-fledged academe serving kindergarten through high school. Now located in Bacoor City and Imus City, Cavite, Theos Higher Ground Academe has grown to accommodate around 415 students, supported by 15 teachers and several staff members. Despite its growth, the school has remained faithful to its founding purpose: to provide quality education anchored in Christian principles while fostering leadership and moral integrity. Its history is a testament to how a small, faith-inspired initiative can evolve into a lasting educational institution that continues to impact both students and their families.
